Sculpting an ear in Blender easily gives the sculptor the opportunity to use a great variety of brushes while making something small, simple, and creative. As a result, I gave it a shot:
Hard Surface Modeling Hard surface modeling typically showcase hard edges and sharp angles. It is the opposite of organic modeling which tend to flow and showcase softer and more natural edges and angles. https://s3.amazonaws.com/gumroad/files/3957468700968/32e9ea9f20f14a08be3e5a481f7d64f6/original/MM44_MASTER.jpg https://evermotion.org/files/publications_images/asdasz_2.jpg https://cdn.lynda.com/course/479385/479385-636191214231647534-16x9.jpg http://pixologic.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Cars-Lead-In1-1200x500.jpg https://www.3dartistonline.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/SS_EdgePanels.png http://lesterbanks.com/lxb_metal/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Hard-Surface-Modeling-Blast-Doors-in-Cinema-4D.jpg https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/covers/images/007/261/694/large/joel-cuellar-backhoe-bulldozer-joel-cuellar-3d-environment-artist-hard-surface-modeling.jpg?1504854705 https://blenderartists.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=22...
While considering both my perspective and the comments I received from other students, I think that my cycle animations and my choice of colors are the strongest aspects of my animation this far. To begin, the quality of my walk and jump cycles is strong. My animations are smooth and realistic, and they portray the confidence Link is supposed to portray at the beginning of the animation. In addition, my color choice was also a strong aspect which helped develop my setting and plot. Starting off with ink's bright, saturated yellows and greens, my scene emitted a lighthearted video game feel. Then, the change in lighting from bright to dark and somber evolved the meaning of the scene and created tension and a switch in mood. These elements play an essential role in making my animation pleasing and conveying the ideas and themes I intended to convey. On the other hand, I feel that both my perspective and the comments I received emphasize how I can make the plot and my intention clear...
I feel that I incorporated lighting and advanced technical aspects well in my robot animation. I typically struggle with making my scenes too dark or allowing my lighting to remain stagnant, but with this animation I improved my lighting. I used a spotlight to emphasize my robot, and I transitioned from this emphasized lighting to darkness. In addition, I challenged myself well with technical aspects, in specific through using a liquid modifier and rigid bodies in an active animation. This process was difficult to apply, but in the end I successfully made the liquid in my animation move as the glass moved. I feel that I can improve on my creative elements and my camera movement. As pointed out by Mr. Bomboy, my camera actions were for the most part basic. Aside from one dynamic elevated long shot, my camera was set at an establishing shot. This stagnant perspective provided no mood development, and as a result I was not using camera movements to their full potential. Moreover, my sc...
